My New Favourite Handbag!

Hello Lovelies!!!

I have fallen in love, the birds starting singing, the sun started shining and the world was a better place the second my eyes lay upon this handbag...

Ok slight exaggeration there but I do really love my new bag, so much that I couldn't help but share it with you all. I brought this handbag a couple of weeks ago and have used it every single day since. I know that its not everybody's cup of tea but its certainly mine, the quirky stand out design of the bag just screams my far from simple look and personality.

I love anything old so the cars were what drew me in first, had they been modern cars I wouldn't have given it a second look, plus the bright colours are just fantastic! The bag itself is very light (it almost feels weightless) which is a big bonus because I carry quite heavy stuff in my bag so the added weight of a bag is something I don't need.

Although its big, its not so big that it gets in the way, the size and style makes it really easy to carry and has loads of room inside including a zip pocket and two open pockets and a small zip pocket on the outside.
The bag is real leather and goes with any outfit (even if it didn't I'm pretty sure I'd still wear it anyway!)
I paid £28.99 which I think is quite good for a real leather handbag.

The only downside is I got it from a little shop a few miles from wear I live, it was the only one there and it has no brand name expect from "Envy Collections" written on a tag and I cant find anything like it on the internet (which is quite disappointing)

Would you ever go for a handbag like this?

Models own Toxic Apple - Review

Hello lovelies!!!

So I finally managed to get a models own nail polish! Toxic Apple to be exact! Models own toxic apple is part of the ice neon collection, I didn't get the whole collection as I only really wanted Toxic Apple.

There is absolutely no denying the fact that this nail polish is neon, its the most neon nail polish I have found! But to achieve the full neon effect I needed a whooping 4 coats to make it opaque! The formular of the nail polish is quite watery which makes each coat quite thin.

It laster 3 days before it chipped, which I know isn't great but I dont mind because I get bored of my nails quickly and chipping just makes me paint them quicker! I do know that most people wont like how quickly it chips.

The brush is quite small but thats just personal preference as I prefer the flat brushes like the ones the essie polishes come with.

Overall I do really like this nail polish and will wear it often because the colour is so gorgeous (even if it does take four coats!)

Have you tried any of the ice neon polishes?

Illamasqua Sheer Lipgloss in Lily-Rose - Review

Hello lovelies!!!

I was lucky enough to be able to buy a few things from Illamasqua's sale, one of those things was the lovely sheer lip gloss in the shade Lily-Rose. (haul is here)
First of all the name, how cute and lovely is the name Lily-Rose?

Why I brought a lip gloss I will never know, I hate lip glosses! but I'm so glad that I did!
Illamasqua Sheer Lip gloss in the shade Lily-Rose is described as a warm raspberry on their website which I have to disagree with slightly, its a very bright pink, it is warm but bright at the same time (if that's even possible) and stands out quite a bit, you can tell its bright just by looking at it on the applicator. Either way its a very beautiful colour and one that I really enjoy wearing.
The Sheer Lip gloss feels so smooth and moisturising on the lips and goes on really nicely and is sheer, but not as sheer as I was expecting it to be. At first all the bristles of the brush were suck together into to a hard point which made it very hard to apply evenly, but with use the bristles separated and it now apply's evenly and without a problem.

The lasting power is pretty incredible for a lip gloss, the glossy feel and look lasts around 2 hours without eating and drinking and after its worn off it leaves a lovely stain behind on the lips which lasts about 2-3 hours and doesn't feel drying at all.
The only thing that could be a bit off putting is the smell and taste, its a really sweet and can be a quite overpowering flavour, this doesn't bother me but if you are not one for strong scents and flavours then you might not like it.

It actually looks a lot bright in person than it does on the pictures.

Overall I really love Illamasquas sheer lip gloss and wear it quite often, if I cant find a good dupe when it finishes I would happily pay full price for it instead of the £5 I paid when it was in the sale.

You get 7ml in the tube for £14.50 and you can get it from the Illamasqua website.

Have you tried this before?

Important Changes and update!!

Hello lovelies!!!

Ive decided it's time for a blog makeover! Although I like the name and how my blog looks, I don't think the name really reflects my content and what goes on here.
For now I will have to play around with it myself so if it looks a bit strange and out of place over the next few days bare with me I'm working on it! Hopefully one day I will be able to get my blog redesigned by someone who knows what they are doing and then I can get it exactly how I want.
Also at the moment my contact information is the same, but I will be changing it soon to fit in with the new name! Speaking of the new name, I've decided to call my blog "The Beauty Bow" from now on, it's shorter and fits in better than Little Bits of Sunshine!
I'd love to know if you like the new name or not!

Multi coloured spots nail art tutorial

Hello Lovelies!!!

This is a tutorial for my last Today's Nails.

There are two ways to do this, you can do it straight on your nail, which I tried and just made a big mess! the other way is much easier which is what I'm going to do.

1. Apply a base coat and paint your nails white.

2. Choose what colours you want and how many (I used six different colours)

3. On a plastic wallet or food bag use a dotting tool or a tooth pick to make dots close together and the same shape and size of your nail. (the letters are to remind me which one goes on which finger/thumb)

4. While they are still wet, use a clean cocktail stick ans gently swirl them together, do about two layers to make it stronger.

5. Leave them to dry for at least an hour, overnight if you can.

6. Gently peel them off, they should come of like a sticker (but not sticky) be very gentle and patient so you don't break them.

7. Apply to your nail and trim if needed, then go over with your top coat, make sure you smooth them down to avoid air bubbles.

8. If there are any nails left that don't have the "sticker" on them, use a dotting tool or cocktail stick and using the colours you have previously used dot them along the tips of your nails and finish with a top coat.

9. Enjoy your lovely nails!

The products I used from left to right are:

Rimmel London 825 Sky High
Rimmel London 620 How Do You Lilac It?
Rimmel London 060 Hot and Spicy
Rimmel London 325 Hot Gossip
Bourjois Lime Catwalk 38
Barry M 134 Yellow
The white I used is 17 Mini Skirt
Top and base coat is Rimmel London 5 in 1

Hopefully this made some sense feel free to ask any questions if my instructions are not clear enough.

Happy Painting!

Review - e.l.f Waterproof eyeliner pens

Hello lovelies!!!

In my latest e.l.f haul (a long time ago) I picked up two of the waterproof eye liner pens in Teal and Hunter Green.
I'm going to review each one individually in this post because they are both very different!

First up is my favourite of the two Hunter Green, I have wanted a green eye liner for absolutely ages! This one is the perfect colour I wanted. The first thing is that the elf waterproof eye liner pen is really pigmented and is opaque in on stroke, it also takes no effort to apply. The tip is a bit scratchy which is a shame, but what can you expect for £1.50?

Scratchiness aside this eye liner does have very good lasting power and lasts all day without smudging or fading which I find pretty impressive for the price. I haven't really tested the waterproof element so I cant say how well that works but other than the scratchy tip this is a wonderful green eye liner and I would definitely buy it again.
(it looks lovely with e.l.f's baked eye shadow in Enchanted review here

However, the teal waterproof eye liner is a different story completely.
The only good thing about the teal version of this eye liner is the colour, I wouldn't describe it as teal myself more of a deep blue, but either way the colour is lovely. Unlike its hunter green friend this eye liner is a BIG let down! It goes on easily and opaque but it smudges and fades throughout the day and when it comes to taking it off you get a blue face! it smears all over your eye and face which is a pain to get off because the more you rub it, the more it spreads! the picture below gives you and idea of what happens when you try to remove it.
This one I wouldnt buy again! its amazing how two colours of the same product can be so different.

You can buy these here for £1.50

Have you tried these before?what do you think?

Friday Five #1

Hello lovelies!!!

I wanted to start this little series for ages but I've kept forgetting. This is basically going to be five things on a Friday, it could be anything five thing I've loved/hated that week, bargains I've found etc...

Before I start the main part of this post I just want to say that I know a few of you requested a review of a couple of things from my Superdrug order and they will get done, but to my annoyance I've had an allergic reaction to something (not the make up because I haven't used it yet) and I have a itchy, dry blotchy face and scalp (not fun and I just want to rip my head off!) and the doctor has said to wear no make up until it clears (I'm walking around looking like death!)

Anyway...

When I'm at home I always find myself browsing eBay for no reason and quite often I find something I like.

Lipcote

I've seen this crop up a few times and it seems quite good and at £2.80 with free postage its worth a try.

  Blue face brushes

These look like a dupe for the Real Techniques brushes which are really good price anyway but these are £2.99 each with 99p postage, very tempting as I have brought a brush from this seller before and its such good quality.

10 blusher palette

10 powder blushes in a palette for £4.79 with free postage? yes please.

Personalised sign
This is so cute! For the price its really great, you can have anything written on it for £5.99 with £1.40 postage its just the perfect gift or a nice way to decorate your house.

Angel hanging heart
I'm a sucker for hearts, It comes from my mum who cant go to a home d├ęcor shop without buying some sort of heart (its in the genes!) this one is just so adorable and great for £1.59 with 85p postage.

Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser - Review

Hello lovelies!!!

I have to be honest and admit that 95% of the time I'm too lazy to moisturise (bad I know!) I just hate all the faffing around and then waiting for it to soak in and being left all sticky, just no.
When I saw the advert on TV for Nivea's In Shower Body Moisturiser it was on my "to buy list" immediately.

Nivea's In-Shower Body Moisturiser is described as a skin conditioner which is the perfect description, because like you would with your hair, you wash, rinse, condition and rinse. Its that simple!
This moisturiser is designed for in the shower only as it is made to soak into wet skin, I did try it on the back of my dry hand out of curiosity, and it was so sticky, whereas in the shower its so soft and smooth and glides over my skin easily. The In-Shower Body Moisturiser is not as moisturising as normal moisturisers but it does make your skin feel soft and moisturised, next time I will buy the one for dry skin instead of normal skin and hopefully it will be more moisturising.

The steps that are on the bottle on how to use this are :

1. use your normal shower product and rinse off
2. Apply the In-Shower Body Moisturiser where required
3. Rinse off
4. Dry yourself, get dressed and go.

I definitely prefer the extra step in the shower instead of the waiting around after the shower, and the beauty of Niveas In-Shower Body Moisturiser is that you can get dressed straight away. The only negative to this are that it does make your shower slippery, so make sure its the last thing you do in your shower! You also need to use quite a lot of product for it to get every bit of you, which means it doesn't last very long and you have to buy it quite regularly.
Overall I really love the product and would definitely buy it again for the main reason it being easy and hassle free!
You can buy Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser from Boots and Superdrug for £3.56 for 250ml or £5.10 for 400ml.

Have you tried this? would you give it a try?
