Sephora Wishlist

In case you dint know already, Sephora are now shipping to the UK! I'm ridiculously exited about this and as soon as I save up enough money I will be placing a order.

I have had a look through the site and found a few things I would love to try...

1. Sephora Collection Rouge Infusion Lip Ink - Cherry Nectar
This just looks like such a lovely shade, I have heard that these can be a bit hit and miss on their colour intensity but either way I think this will be a beautiful colour.

2. Josie Maran Argan Love Your Lips Hydrating Lipstick - Carnation Pink
This is a lipstick with the shine of a gloss and the moisture of a lip balm, it looks so lovely and takes my interest because I always have such dry lips.

3. Ardency Inn Modster Long Play Lip Vinyl - Club Remix
These are long wearing bold lip colours and to be honest I'm a sucker for bold lips

4. Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No.7 - Plush Shadow - The Lolita 206
I saw that  Vivianna does makeup brought this on her Sephora order and it looked stunning so of course, I instantly wanted it!

5. Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek GelĂ©e - Pink Escape
This just looks beautiful, I've heard great things about these too

There are of course many restrictions to what can be shipped over to the UK, you cant ship nail polish, NARS, Hourglass and Dior, they are the ones I am aware of so far. Its a shame they cant ship the nail polish barbecue I really want to try the Sephora Formula X collection :(

Whats on your Sephora wishlist?

MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre - Review and swatches

MAC's Soft Ochre paint pot is literally the best thing in the world! (perhaps a slight exaggeration there!) These are a cream eye shadow that are really highly pigmented. I use mine on a daily basis as a base under all my eye shadows, I opted for the shade Soft Ochre because its a skin tone color and would be a good shade to use under all eye shadows.

This works extremely well as an eye shadow primer and keeps any eye shadow on all day with no fading or creasing which is pretty fantastic. With this being the same colour as my skin I can blend it all the way up to my brow bone and you cant tell its there.
MAC describes it a a yellow beige which I can honestly say is true, I do have yellow undertones to my skin which is probably the reason it matches my skin tone so much but, my mum uses this occasionally, she has pink undertones and it looks fine on her so no need to worry about that.
The shadow is packaged in a little glass tub with a plastic screw on lid, I have had no problem with the shadow drying up but I'm always making sure I put the lid back on tightly to ensure that it doesnt dry out.
It looks quite orange in this picture, the one of the jar above is more of a true colour

MAC Paint Pot is very pigmented it covers and hides all the veins and redness eyelids making the perfect base for eye shadow, I do find that if you use it on its own it will crease but a little bit of nude shadow will stop that and make it last all day, again it is fantastic for prolonging the wear of eye shadows. To apply this I just use my finger to pat it on my eyelid.
You get 5g of product for £15 which is pretty good going since you only need a small amount with each use.

Overall I am so impressed with this, I will certainly be buying this again when it runs out and I have my eye on a few other shade I want to get at some point.

Have you tried Mac Paint Pot? What do you think of them?

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - Review and Swatches

I was lucky enough to receive the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette for Christmas last year, I wanted this palette 1. because it was all matte (apart form 1) and 2. because it was neutral, and I'm a sucker for neutral eye shadows.

I am super impressed with this, using this palette was the first time I had ever tried any of Urban Decays's eye shadows and I am thoroughly in love with them!
In this palette their are six neutral eye shadows five of which are matte and the lightest shade  is a shimmer. These eye shadows are super soft and blend amazingly well together and with other eye shadows, these are really pigmented and you only need a small amount of shadow on your brush to create great colour payoff.
The packaging is small, thin and compact so its perfect for traveling and on the inside lid there is a decent sized mirror, the lock is secure and I have no worry of it ever coming open.
I use these eye shadows on a daily basis to create simple eye looks for college etc but I love to use Faint as a crease colour for my more evening and going out looks. I also love using Venus as an inner corner highlight as it really brightens up my eyes.

Here are swatches of the eye shadows...

From left to right...
Venus, Foxy, W.O.S (walk of shame), Naked 2, Faint and Crave

The shades Foxy and W.O.S don't really show up on my skin but I still use them often as a base for a neutral look and to neutralize my dark eyelids.

Overall I am extremely pleased with this palette and the quality of the eye shadows and I since using this palette I have brought the Naked 3 palette ( keep a look out for a review of that soon!)

This retails for £22 and you buy it here

Sleek Pixi Pink Blush - Review and Swatch

Sleeks Pixi Pink blush is my one and only Sleek blusher, after reading lots of really positive things about Sleeks blushers I knew they were something I had to try. I picked up the shade Pixi Pink about 5 months ago in Superdrug and its safe to say I've been trying it enough to make up my mind.

First off the colour, its a really bright bubblegum pink colour, but its nowhere near as bright as another one of their blushes (cant remember the name!). The pigmentation of this is incredible, you only need a really small amount and a light hand when applying, the first time I used it I loved horrific because I put way to much on because I didn't realise just how pigmented it was. The high pigmentation is great because it means this blush will literally last your for an extremely long time.

The blush itself is packaged in a slim black case which has quite a sturdy clasp on it so there is no worries of it coming open in your makeup bag, and the packaging provides good protection for the product inside. On the inside of the lid there is a mirror which is the same size as the blush.
This is the first Sleek product I have ever tried and since then I have brought quite a few more products from them all of which I have been thoroughly impressed with.

These blushes are a bargain at only £4.49 each and they are available at Superdrug and online on Sleeks website.

Have you tried Sleeks blushes?

The Beauty Scenario TAG!

I was tagged to do this by Hannah from Hannah Heartss

The Beauty Scenario Tag

1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?

To be honest, I actually only have one high end and have only ever tried one drugstore foundation, the reason being is I have only been wearing foundation for the last year if that. So for my high end it would have to be Illamasqua light foundation which I love because it gives a lovely look to the skin and lasts really long, and for my drugstore foundation it would be my No7 stay perfect but I'm not really that fond of it and am currently looking for a new foundation.

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?

This is a really tuff one, I'm quite a shy person and wouldn't want to offend her, but if it was bugging me whilst talking to her I probably would tell her.

3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?

It has to be MACs Up The Amp! I love the colour and it always makes me feel so cheery :)

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?

Well, I technically as still in my teenage years being 18 and with only really wearing makeup for the last 2 years I don't think I would do anything differently, I usually keep it quite simple both makeup and hair so it doesn't give it much room for error.

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund.

I would definitely do C, had I been asked this a year or two ago it would be A but now I would definitely complain and because my aunt is my hairdresser, i would feel easier complaining to her than i would a stranger.

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your makeup bag?

ooo this is tuff, most likely my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, its not really 'do it all' but I use it a lot!

7. Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?

My naked 3 palette (and my mac lipsticks!)

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven't noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs.

B I would definitely do B, I would hope that none of my friends would ever do this to my makeup but if they did I hope they would be decent enough to replace it because I would replace theirs if I damaged it.

I tag everyone reading this because I cant think of anyone to tag haha!

**Visit Australia**
**Stay in an ice hotel**
**Go camping**
**Have my very own horse**
**Open up my own florist shop**
**own a hammock**
**Adopt a child**
**Grow my own vegetables (and eat them!)**

March Wishlist

I am utterly stunned that march is here already! I feel like this year is zooming past in the blink of an eye.
This month there are a few things I would love to own, doubtful I will actually buy them but a girl can dream...

**Topshop Notch neck throw on coat - £75**
I saw this in Topshop whilst I was in town a few weeks ago and its just stuck with me I absolutely love it!

**Models Own Turquoise Hypergel - £5***

** Maybelline Big Eyes mascara - £8.99**
I'm not going to lie, this mascara really appeals to me, my current mascara has a massive brush and I always get it on my skin when I do my bottom lashes, the smaller brush is definetly something I want to try.

**Models Own Specked egg collection - £5**
I want all of these! When Illamasqua released some nail polishes similar to this last year I really wanted them but couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a polish but and less than half the price these seem like a great alternative.

Whats on your wishlist?

Maybelline Colour show Polka Dots - Review and Swatch

I picked up two of the Maybelline colour show polishes ages ago! this will be a review of the Polka dots one but the other one I got was Blackout
The colour and style of this polish I love! its a really pretty forest green and the black and white glitter add a touch of interest which makes having more interesting nails really easy. the brush is the standard round brush which personally I've never been a fan of those shape brushes, I much prefer ones like the essie polishes have.
In terms of lasting power though its not that great, I applied this on Sunday afternoon using a base and top coat, by midday Monday it had chipped on three nails and by Tuesday evening it had chipped on all my nails. It's not enough to put me off wearing it because I do really like the look of the polish but I would prefer it to last longer!

I did get quite a few people say how nice the polish was when I wore it which only  made me wish it lasted longer even more.

The shade I brought is 200 rain forest canopy and you can buy these for £2.99.

Have you tried these? what do you think?

FOTD - Blue eyeliner and bold Lips

First off a little warning, I'm not that great at taking pictures of myself and always seem to look pretty horrific on them so apologies for that haha.

Today I opted for something I haven't tried before, the blue eyeliner, I'm going to admit i have a slight obsession with blue at the moment, the other day I actually made myself go and change my clothes because I had a long list of blue on including - blue earrings, blue glasses, blue braces, blue t-shirt, blue jeans, blue jacket -you can probably see my problem here!
